This. THIS is the best and easiest breakfast dish you will EVER make. Like, EVER.
Crowd pleaser? Yummy? Easy? Delicious? Fast? Simple? Do you use these words as often as I do when you’re searching Pinterest for a recipe? Well, search no more, my wifey and momma friends. THIS dish which I am about to reveal to you, is a favorite wherever I go: church, youth group, family get-togethers, the breakfast table, and even the fridge at 2 a.m. It is quite literally amazing wherever you are and whenever it is. I am serious. So. Stinkin. Good. Okay, I know I’m raving but I really am that excited about giving this recipe to you all! So many people have asked me for it, so I knew that while we talked about yumminess on the blog this week, THIS would be the first recipe I would post.
SAUSAGE. CHEESE. CRESCENT SQUARES.

I made my first succulent and delicious memories of this dish on Christmas morning when I was in fourth grade. We thought about making it into a Christmas tradition, but then (thank GOODNESS) we decided it was too yummy to only have once a year. I would say I make this dish at least once a month. My husband wishes it were more like once a week. 😉
Another special memory connected with this dish took place on the morning of my wedding. The bridesmaids were scattered throughout the house and I was standing at the bar countertop facing the kitchen doing my makeup. And again, my beautiful and selfless mother was making my day super special by making these sausage cheese crescent squares for my breakfast. It was perfect for my wedding day…not too messy, not too heavy for my nervous tummy, but just yummy enough to tempt me to eat. 😉 Oh, and coffee.

Okey doke, peeps, here are the scrumptious details!
Sausage Cheese Crescent Squares
2 cans crescent rolls (no fooling around with this recipe, ladies, so go ahead and spend the extra few cents on Pillsbury. 😉 )
1 pound mild pork sausage
1 8 oz. package cream cheese
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Yep. That’s seriously IT. (Did I mention this was super easy? In case I didn’t…it is. Ridiculously so.)
Heat oven to 375 F. Unroll one of the cans of dough and press it into a 13×9 Pyrex dish so it covers the bottom. Try to press it into the edges, but if it doesn’t reach all the way…don’t stress about it. This dish is all about no stress. 😉 Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat and drain the grease. In the same pan, melt the cream cheese over low heat and then add the sausage and stir until it’s covered in the yumminess. Maybe this would be a good time to sneak a bite, if you’re into that sort of thing. Spoon the sausage/ cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough in the pan and then sprinkle it with the shredded cheese. Carefully, unroll the other can of dough on top. Again, try to get it to the edges, but no worries if it doesn’t quite make it. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, till the top is just getting golden. Cut it into small squares. Or giant ones, depending on how many people you need it to feed. 😉 FYI, you will be going back for seconds. It is that good.
That’s it, people! I hope you love it as much as I do. And now this momma has a new craving. And I just ate a bowl of Mac and Cheese! *face palm*
Please don’t let this recipe sit idly on your Pinterest “breakfast” board. Bake it right now! And let me know how you like it in the comments. Til next time, pals! 😉
